✦ Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions About Technical Services & RE/RTO?

Everything you need to know about BCA-accredited site supervision, Resident Engineers, and Resident Technical Officers in Singapore.

What are the qualifications of RE and RTO supervisors provided by Landspect SG?

All Resident Engineers (RE) and Resident Technical Officers (RTO) provided by Landspect SG are fully registered and accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES/ACES. They hold recognized engineering degrees or diplomas with proven site experience in civil, structural, and M&E works for BCA-regulated Singapore projects.

When is an accredited RE or RTO legally required on a Singapore construction site?

Under the Singapore Building Control Act, full-time structural site supervision by a registered RE or RTO is legally required for structural building works, ERSS (earth retaining and stabilizing structures), deep excavations, underground MRT works, and public infrastructure to ensure compliance with the Qualified Person’s (QP) approved drawings.

What is the difference between C&S RTO and M&E RTO supervision?

Civil & Structural (C&S) RTOs oversee piling, reinforced concrete, precast assembly, and structural steel integrity. Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) RTOs supervise electrical switchboards, cabling, ACMV air-conditioning systems, fire suppression, and plumbing/sanitary works. Landspect SG provides both C&S and M&E accredited supervisors.

How quickly can Landspect SG mobilize an accredited RE or RTO to our site?

We maintain an active network of accredited REs and RTOs across Singapore, allowing mobilization within 48 to 72 hours following QP interview and client approval, preventing any project handover or supervision delays.

How does Landspect SG handle relief or backup supervision during leaves?

To ensure 100% continuous site presence and compliance with BCA supervision logbook regulations, Landspect SG provides qualified, pre-briefed relief RE/RTO personnel during medical or annual leave periods at no disruption to your job site.
